The Giverny launches with French theme

HONG KONG - Luxury residential development The Giverny is aiming for high-end consumers in Hong Kong, by employing a French theme across its new communications platform.

The Giverny, a garden house residential complex in Sai Kung, has been developed by Wing Tai Asia and Nan Fung Group. Breaking with TVC and print, the campaign includes mock French newspaper articles.

“Hong Kong’s property market typically portrays developments using a foreign location in order to try and make the lifestyle offered more appealing,” said Barbara Yeh, group brand director, Leo Burnett Hong Kong.

“In the case of The Giverny, the development itself and its location is more than enough to interest our target. So while we have used French characters in our TVC, they become inspired for Hong Kong living and not the other way around,” she said.
