TBWA to drive launch of sustainable Sydney office space

SYDNEY - Australian property investment and management group Mirvac has appointed Whybin\TBWA\TEQUILA as creative agency for its 8 Chifley Square office development in Sydney.

The brief calls for a campaign to launch and market the edifice, designed by architectural firm Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners in conjunction with Lippmann associates and Mirvac Design, as a unique, contemporary and sustainable building among the city’s premium commercial towers.

The development is expected to consume up to 50 per cent less energy than a typical building in Sydney’s Central Business District. Among its proposed features to increase sustainability are an onsite electricity generator, a water recycling system, and sub-floor chilled beam air conditioning. It is scheduled for completion in 2011.

Paul Bradbury, managing director at Whybin\TBWA\TEQUILA, said the agency would be taking an unconventional approach in promoting the development, adding that the initial campaign would incorporate the design credibility of Lord Rogers to build interest.
