Charlie Thomas - brother of BBDO Asia-Pacific CEO Chris Thomas - will run the Singapore office as managing director. The company, which has also just opened for business in New York, says that it is shaking up the recruitment business by ditching its commission system.
In its place, a team of "talent strategists" will be salaried and tasked to deliver advice and "successful talent solutions".
"Our strategists are not recruiters," said a company spokesman. "They are practitioners drawn from the world's best brand and communications agencies, and as a result, they understand the industry like no recruiter can."
The Talent Business has offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sao Paolo, San Francisco and London, where it is headquartered.
