Takeda Indonesia appoints Saatchis/Zenith after first pitch

JAKARTA - Japanese pharmaceutical company Takeda has displaced long-time incumbent Dentsu to appoint Saatchi & Saatchi and ZenithOptimedia to its US$500,000 account.

The Publicis group siblings will be responsible for rejuvenating the brand, which first launched in Indonesia in 1971. Takeda’s flagship products in Indonesia are Vitacimin sweetlets, a Vitamin C product.

According to Dini Makmun, CEO of Saatchis Indonesia, this was the first time Takeda Indonesia has held a pitch since entering the country in 1971.

“The market is constantly changing. Takeda felt the need to adapt. It’s a courageous business shift,” said Makmun.
