Spikes names jury chairmen

HONG KONG - The countdown to this year's Media Spikes awards in Bali has begun, with the announcement of four jury heads and the confirmation of thirteen core panel judges, as the entry deadline of 18 January nears.

Core chairman will be Jeff Goodby of Goodby, Silverstein and Partners (USA), who will lead reviews of TV, print, outdoor, radio, direct mail and integrated entries.

Mark Cridge, chief executive of Glue (UK) will act as digital chairman. The digital awards jury returns for a second year with an expanded spread of seven categories.

2008 marks the debut of the Media jury, which will be led by Mainardo de Nardis, chief executive of Aegis Group PLC (UK). The section will cover specific product areas and innovative media use over twenty categories.

The first ever dedicated craft jury is to be headed by Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman of McCann Erickson India and regional executive creative director for McCann Erickson Asia Pacific.

Among the jurors will be respected creative industry talent such as Antonio Navas, Ogilvy & Mather’s worldwide creative director, Masako Okamura, creative director for Dentsu, Jonathan Harries, worldwide chief creative officer of Draftfcb, Christine Santarelli, co-founder and co-president of Duke, Matt Devine of The Glue Society, and Gavin Gordon-Rogers of Agency Republic.
