SATELLITE & CABLE: Channel V launches anti-drug campaign

<p>Together with Astro and the Association for the Prevention of Dadah </p><p>(Pemadam), Channel V has created an anti-drug abuse campaign in </p><p>Malaysia. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The campaign will air on Channel V's international feed on the Astro </p><p>platform until next month and both entities will assist Pemadam in </p><p>promoting awareness of drug abuse among young Malaysians. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Channel V produced special endorsements from top artistes including </p><p>Christina Aguilera, 'N Sync, Hanson, B Witched, Aqua and Britney </p><p>Spears. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Meanwhile, in China, Channel V, Guangzhou TV and eight mainland stations </p><p>have teamed up with Philips to present a concert series, called Philips </p><p>Channel V Face to Face. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The series will be premiere on Channel V Greater China and the mainland </p><p>stations, featuring the popular mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong artists' </p><p>concerts. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Channel V network commercial director Jasper Donat said the venture </p><p>would enable the music channel to deliver another totally integrated </p><p>advertising and promotion campaign in China. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Distributed to 323 million terrestrial viewers and 25 million Channel V </p><p>homes, the series will be jointly hosted by Channel V VJs and variety </p><p>show hosts from the mainland stations. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
