The office is headed by managing director Janet Mo, who worked with
Ogilvy & Mather for more than eight years. The Hong Kong set-up has five
full-time staff members and will be using a network of freelancers.
Sandberg Trygg, a unit o Stockholm-listed IT consultancy group Teleca, is looking to help European companies enter Asia, according to Mo.
Longer term, Mo said the office would look at helping Chinese companies
establish themselves and build their brands in Europe.
Mo said the agency had a unique positioning in Hong Kong as a B2B operation, an undeveloped segment of the agency sector.
Hong Kong will serve as a stepping stone in realising its bigger ambitions.
"Our clients have been aiming at Greater China for a long time. After strengthening our position in Hong Kong, we will then expand into China,
Mo said.
