Publicis poised to scoop Singapore 2006 project
Publicis is reportedly set to win the S$4 million (US$2.5 million) global and local marketing campaign to promote September's Singapore 2006 mega-event, which revolves around the annual IMF and World Bank Board of Governors meetings.

It is believed that the agency outgunned Bates and Y&R after the trio were shortlisted from an initial tender list that also included Ogilvy & Mather and Crush. All contenders submitted integrated communications plans, including creative, media, PR and below-the-line. The event is expected to attract some 16,000 participants - making it the largest meeting hosted by the country - and is supported by the Singapore Biennale visual arts festival and a multitude of other programmes. Publicis declined to comment.
