P&G China adds Aegis to digital roster

SHANGHAI - Aegis Media has secured a place on Procter & Gamble's digital agency roster for the first time in Greater China after Wwwins was awarded year-long assignments for Pampers and Whisper.

Wwwins China was handed the business in a pitch to decide P&G's ‘i-agency pool’ for 2007/08. The agency pitched against MRM, e-Crusade and China Interactive.

The latter, which worked with P&G in China last year, was handed P&G shampoo brands including Pantene (Media, 24 August). Wwwins will handle digital marketing, website build, site maintenance and CRM database development.

The agency will also advise on media planning - but buying stays with incumbent Starcom. Aegis Media has done digital work for P&G in Korea and Poland, but this marks the first time the agency has been awarded digital work in China.
