HONG KONG: Outdoor company Texon Media has introduced rooftop

panels to its bus shelter network, attracting a diverse list of

advertisers.

A movie production company Astoria Distribution was the first to sign up

for promotion of Golden Scene - Jan Dara. Other advertisers that will

run campaigns using the rooftop panels include Cathay Pacific, Standard

Chartered Bank and herbal medicine Nin Jiom.

Lit 24 hours a day, the panels boast a display size of 800mm by 5,600mm

and require a poster for display instead of custom-built billboards. An

advantage with the panels is that they don't need to be dismantled

during a typhoon as they can lie flat.

Texon has installed the rooftop panels in prime business and financial

areas such as Central and Admiralty and along trunk routes, including

Hennessy and Gloucester roads on Hong Kong Island and Nathan Road on

Kowloon.
