The path I took went something like this:
1) Sign up for the basketball league (actual league not online game) to obtain a login and password.
2) Personalise your avatar. e.g. your face, what you wear, what position you play, what type of basketball you use, etc.
3) See the game screen. You'll see your name appear under the basketball net. Every five seconds, a basketball enters the screen from the left side, when the basketball reaches the net, whoever clicks on it fastest is the winner.
4) If you win that round, your face is shown and an animation will appear in the background.
There's no ranking element. After you've chosen the coolest basketball gear for your avatar, you'll be disappointed to find that only your avatar's face is shown in the game. The sub site at nike.com.hk is about driving people to sign-up for the actual league. The flash graphics and animation are well designed, but the multi-player game should be developed further, should be more prominent and integrated to the registration to make the game a truly value-added element.
