Omnicom hires Unilever veteran
Omnicom Group has moved to bolster its Indian operations, naming former Hindustan Lever (HLL) chairman Keki Dadiseth as non-executive chairman.

Dadiseth's appointment follows the holding company's recent acquisition of Indian marketing services company Gotocustomer, although Omnicom Asia chairman Michael Birkin (pictured) denied that the two events were linked. Instead, Birkin is hoping that Dadiseth can bring some senior-level heft as he bids to grow an underdeveloped offering in the country.

A Unilever veteran, Dadiseth became chairman of HLL in 1996, before being named director of Unilever's global home and personal care portfolio in 2001. He retired from Unilever in 2005.
