OMD reels in Shui On's China brief

China property developer Shui On Land has awarded its Hong Kong media brief to OMD, tasking the agency with pitching its Shanghai properties to affluent Hong Kong consumers.

A number of other agencies pitched for the US$2 million business, but Jackson Kwok, managing director of OMD Hong Kong, said the client declined to elaborate. "They want to promote the property especially to Hong Kong people, to target those who are the high society people, who have the money to buy a flat or a house in Shanghai." The brief will include current and future projects. "We will be focusing mainly on print in the marketplace, both in English and Chinese daily newspapers," said Kwok. "We will be working on ongoing campaigns for a number of their properties over the next year or two," he said. OMD has also picked up the Schroder Investment brief estimated just under US$2 million.
