Ong's comments follow sustained industry speculation that Grey Worldwide is looking to sell its 30 per cent stake in the Philippines agency. Ong said that Campaigns is "approached on a regular basis by a lot of business suitors and O&M is certainly not the first."
"There's nothing serious to say at this point," said Ong. "I am surprised at the rumours spreading in the industry."
Ong also noted that she would not dismiss any offers, saying: "I politely listen and see who tickles my fancy."
Grey Worldwide has vehemently denied any suggestions that it is looking to sell its stake in Campaigns & Grey. Sources in the industry, however, have pointed out that Campaigns & Grey is keen to expand beyond the Philippines, and would be inclined to deny any rumours of a merger until negotiations close.
