New departs CNBC for World Sport Group

SINGAPORE - CNBC Asia-Pacific's head of sales Adrian New has left the company to take on a new regional role at sports marketing firm World Sport Group (WSG).

New, who spent three years at CNBC as senior vice-president of advertising sales, will join WSG in August as senior VP, sales. Based in Singapore, New has a brief to drive regional business and oversee WSG’s local sales teams.

A replacement at CNBC has been shortlisted, and president and MD Jeremy Pink will handle New’s duties in the meantime. Before CNBC, New was president of sponsorship consultancy Red Mandarin Asia-Pacific. He also had a stint as senior VP for European advertising, promotions and sponsorship for Visa International, where he handled sponsorship of the Olympics and Rugby World Cup.
