Time Inc has appointed Mr Rick Hornik as executive editor of
Asiaweek. Mr Hornik becomes deputy to the editor, Ms Dorinda Elliott,
helping with the day-to-day running of the magazine. He has spent 22
years at Time magazine as a correspondent in Washington, Eastern Europe,
Beijing, Hong Kong and Boston. He also served as deputy chief of
correspondents and director of the Time News Service. Most recently, he
served as Business and Economics editor of Time's European edition.
Time Inc Asia has also appointed Ms Hoa Nguyen as marketing
communication manager. Ms Nguyen was previously regional account
supervisor at Worldwide Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong, managing
Procter & Gamble, Oracle and Dow Corning accounts.
