McCann clinches top post in 2003 with win bonanza

Despite a major Q4 push from Leo Burnett, McCann finished 2003 at the top of the table - with over 100 new business wins, including L'Oreal Plenitude, Nestle Japan and Coca-Cola China.

MEDIA

With over 150 new business wins for the year, MindShare has double honours - Media Agency of the Year in Media's awards and at the top of the business league. Major wins included Motorola China, Unilever Thailand and ther major China wins. Biggest mover in December was OMD with AIG's consolidation across Asian markets.

ANALYSIS

2003 saw a stronger than ever trend towards media independents. Less than 20 per cent of overall reporting included a combined creative/media agency alignment. We expect it to drop below this in 2004.
