Lee quits PCCW senior marketing role

HONG KONG - Melanie Lee has resigned her role as senior vice-president of mobile commercial marketing at PCCW, citing dissatisfaction with the company's latest restructuring.

Lee’s decision comes less than a year after PCCW phased out mobile brand Sunday, where Lee was SVP of mobile marketing. One of the city’s most experienced telecoms marketers, Lee rejoined Sunday in January 2006, after helping launch the brand in 1997.

In 2000, she left the company to head marketing at New World Mobility. “I think I have a little bit of a problem with their most recent restructure,” said Lee. “I am not so concerned about the fading out of Sunday - but the  restructure has left me quite uncomfortable.”
