Higgins, who will report to executive regional creative director Linda Locke and Singapore managing director John O'Shea, arrives at the network in mid-July from Sydney, where he was creative director at Publicis for three days a week, working on Toyota. For the past three years, Higgins has also been running his own business, repackaging and relaunching 'Wethead', a game first launched by Mattel 15 years ago.
"I've missed the energy and the bright thinkers you get in agency groups," said Higgins, adding that his role would be as "a catalyst for change, and to bring in new ways of looking at things".
"We are very excited about Danny's appointment. He is a very rare gem, being a successful business entrepreneur as well as an award winning creative," said Locke in a statement.
