Newsweek, Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, The Washington Post,
NBC News, MSNBC.com and MSNBC Cable have formed an alliance to share
news material and technological and promotional resources, offering
comprehensive coverage across multiple platforms.
A major component of the relationship will be the launch of
Newsweek.MSNBC.com, scheduled for Q1/Q2 this year. MSNBC.com is already
carrying editorial content from Newsweek.com and Newsweek magazine, and
has access to content from The Washington Post and washingtonpost.com.
NBC News multimedia content is also available to both Newsweek.com and
washintongpost.com, covering broadcast, cable and the Internet.
The companies will extend their capabilities to serve advertisers in the
expanding online marketplace, with packages utilising cross-media
opportunities. Cross-platform promotion among the media properties in
the alliance are also offered.
