J. Walter Thompson Hong Kong chief executive officer, William Lau, will leave the agency by the end of the year after his two-year contract expires. Business director, Edgar Yang, has been promoted to general manager and will take responsibility for Lau's portfolio while a replacement is found for the CEO's position. Lau said that he wanted to try opportunities outside the advertising industry, after 15 years in the business.
