Coca-Cola India has promoted Sanjiv Gupta to deputy president of the group. Gupta, who will continue to head the company's bottling operations, joined Coke in 1997. He is best known during his tenure as marketing director when he notched up a series of successful launches and initiatives, including the 2000 roll-out of mineral water brand Kinley, which is currently the second-largest brand in its category.
