HEADLINES: Armstrong returns to SCMP to take up editor post

The South China Morning Post has named David Armstrong as editor-in-chief. Armstrong was editor of the paper in 1993 and was promoted to editor-in-chief in 1994, a position he held until 1996 when he moved to Sydney to join the Australian. Armstrong was also editor at the Canberra Times and Bulletin deputy editor at the Daily Telegraph in Sydney.
