For the second year in a row, Saatchi & Saatchi Hong Kong has won
the Kam Fan, and for the second time they took home the top accolade of
the 4As Creative Awards for client Vitasoy.
Saatchis won the Kam Fan for the Vitasoy TVC campaign
"Conversation/Crying/Dumb"; last year, it won for a Vita Lemon Tea TVC
entitled "Wai Pak".
Mr Craig Davis, Saatchis regional ECD, said of his agency's win and the
quality of the other works which won gold prizes that "creativity is
alive and well in Hong Kong".
The Vitasoy win, however, wasn't a clear cut decision, as there were
another five pieces of work which the judges narrowed down as potential
Kam Fan material.
Euro RSCG triumped with the Best TVC award for the Swipe commercial,
"Emperor of Kowloon", while BBDO walked away with the Best Print Ad for
Baygon called "Housewife".
Leo Burnett and BBDO bagged the most awards - 32 each - although Burnett
chalked up the most gold wins of the contest.
