Dragonair opens up Bangkok link for China service

Dragonair is to introduce two flights a day to Bangkok from November 1, making it the carrier's second destination in Thailand along with Phuket.

HONG KONG Dragonair is to introduce two flights a day to Bangkok from November 1, making it the carrier's second destination in Thailand along with Phuket. Dragonair chief executive Mr Stanley Hui said the route would help the airline not only transport passengers directly from Hong Kong itself but the airline will also use its extensive Chinese network to move mainland travellers to Bangkok by transiting them through Hong Kong as well. "We're looking forward to introducing services on this popular route," Mr Hui said. "Not only does it mean more choice for travellers from Hong Kong, it also opens up the options available to travellers in the China mainland destinations we serve. "Thailand is a designated country for travellers from the mainland as well as being extremely popular with them, and we will be looking to fully utilise our flight connections to build traffic flows."
