DIARY: Thumbs-up for New T&F for showing its bare-faced cheek

As far as Diary's concerned it's </p><p>the dancing equivalent of having two left feet. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Here we have Hong Kong's telecoms conglomerate PCCW giving itself the </p><p>thumbs-up - probably not for its battered performance on the stock in </p><p>the past few months. Still, PCCW feels it more than deserves it because </p><p>as its ad proclaims: "We're good because we give more out." Not sure </p><p>stockholders will agree with PCCW's own assessment. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Going one better is rival NewT&T. It's shown some rarely seen cheek in </p><p>Hong Kong's normally staid and stiff business world. Spoofing its </p><p>competitor, NewT&T happily printed collateral for a conference, showing </p><p>itself out-thumbing its fixed line competitor. Thumbs-up to New T&T. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
