Chao to head planning at DDB HK

HONG KONG - DDB has appointed Milo Chao (pictured) to the newly created post of head of planning in Hong Kong.

Chao will oversee planning for DDB Hong Kong, Tribal DDB and Rapp Collins.

Richard Thomas, president and CEO of DDB in Hong Kong said: “Chao has been working with DDB in Singapore for the past four years and has been a key driver in moving Exxon Mobil Fuels Marketing from an advertising-centric client to one of the best examples of using integrated communications as a way of solving business issues.”

“Although he remains on the Exxon Mobil account, I am pleased he has agreed to take up the role of head of planning in Hong Kong - using his direct marketing and above-the-line communications experience across the breadth of our client base, including Wrigley, our new regional account and other local accounts like Park N shop. MTR, as well as assisting in new business, and adding extra strength and providing broad solutions to our client offering in whatever disciplines,” he added.

Chao has worked across Asia and the US. Prior to joining DDB, he worked with Rapp Collins in Texas as senior strategic planner working on brands such as Sony Playstation, Toyota and Dell. He has also worked with Grey Advertising in Beijing, China and New York, respectively.
