Cass beer ends seven-year Publicis relationship

SEOUL - Korea's third-ranked beer brand, Cass, has ended its seven-year relationship with Welcomm Publicis, after shortlisting McCann Erickson and Cheil Communications to contest the final round of the ongoing review of it US$8 million creative business.

McCann and Cheil were selected following an initial phase that also included Welcomm Publicis and TBWA Korea.

Publicis regional CEO Matthew Godfrey confirmed the end of his agency’s tenure on the business – a period that saw the beer brand rise from seventh to third in the market, behind Hite and OB Lager.
