Kitti has won a slew of top honours for Unif Green Tea's 'Scary worm' campaign, including a Cannes gold lion for TV as well as the top prize at the inaugural Adman Awards held in Thailand last month. The 31-year-old creative, who joined Publicis this month, is the office's first ECD.
Kitti's appointment follows the network's hiring of another highly-awarded creative talent, Ogilvy & Mather's Larry Ong, as national ECD and managing partner at Publicis China, based in Shanghai (Media, September 10).
"When David Droga (Publicis Worldwide's chief creative officer) worked in Asia, he believed that Thailand was the most creative market in Asia," said Ron Webb, CEO of the Thai office.
"David was keen to get the top creative talent to start the process of getting a first-class creative department in this agency.
"(Kitti's) the right candidate for our challenge in Thailand," said Webb, adding that the agency had conducted an extensive search.
Parrallel to Kitti's appointment, Publicis also succeeded in prising away BBDO's strategic planning talent Ruamsub 'Jet' Sorasermombat for the strategic planning director's job. Jet, who has 10 years advertising and brand-building experience, has been tasked with strengthening the agency's strategic planning offer.
"In the last six months, Publicis Thailand has been through substantial and positive changes ... with Kitti and Jet on board, we will be able to fast track our success," added Webb, referring to Publicis increasing its stake in the agency this year.
