Careers: AXN raises bar for senior executives with Animax

Action and adventure channel, AXN, has expanded the responsibilities of its senior management team - Ricky Ow, Gregory Ho, Betty Tsui and Ang Hui Keng - following growth at the channel and at Animax Asia.

The team will be charged with maintaining the position of AXN and the roll out of Animax Asia, the company's 24-hour Japanese anime network launched in January this year.

Ow, who was previously vice-president of advertising sales and programming, has been promoted to general manager of AXN Asia and Animax Asia. He will oversee the daily operations of both channels.

Ho, who is currently vice-president of marketing and creative services, will assume the role of vice-president of advertising sales, heading the ad sales operations region-wide for both channels.

The company is expected to name Ho's replacement shortly.

Tsui, meanwhile, will take on additional acquisition responsibilities for Sony Pictures Television International while continuing as vice-president of Animax and programming, which includes production oversight for both channels.

Ang, in addition to overseeing finance, distribution, operations, network presentations, IT and administration aspects of SPE Networks, will manage human resources for the company.
