BII consolidates its business with Ogilvy and MindShare

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia International (BII) has awarded its creative and media accounts to Ogilvy & Mather and MindShare respectively, following a competitive pitch believed to have included Dentsu, Lowe, Hotlink, Artek and Dm Pratama.

The win will see Ogilvy assist on the bank’s product branding and strategy, along with its financial corporate communications platform.

“It’s a good victory for us because it has been a while since we have had a bank client within our roster,” said Joseph Tan, managing director, Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Indonesia. “They have been using a number of different agencies to handle different parts of the business, but they were interested in consolidating the business,” he added.

BII, owned by Singapore investment company Temasek Holdings, is ranked among the top ten largest banks in Indonesia, competing with other local players including Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI and Bank Danamon among others.
