Beijing to host industry forum

Beijing The Second China International Convention & Exhibition Forum 2003 will be held at China World Hotel in Beijing November 27-28. The forum is jointly organised by Supervision and Management Committee of the State Council and China Association for Exhibition Centre. The theme of the forum is "Challenge, International Integration and Strategic Co-operation". A spokesman from the China Association for Exhibition Centres said: "Beijing is the venue of a wide variety of conventions and exhibitions. "We hope to introduce China as a convention and exhibition venue for exhibitors and event organisers from overseas and the domestic market." Speakers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Britain, France and Germany will share their views on how to integrate China's convention and exhibition industry into the world and how to enhance the competitive edge of the industry. "The choice of speakers is international. Some of the speakers entered the China market some years ago and it is good for them to get together and explore the industry in China," the spokesman said. Representatives fromconvention and exhibition venues in Shanghai, Dalian, Suzhou, Shenzhen and Guangdong will also gather at the forum.
