Audi taps Adkom for first custom magazine in Asia

TAIPEI: Car manufacturer Audi will launch a quarterly custom title in Taiwan, its first in Asia, in the coming weeks.

Produced by Adkom, the title will have a print run of 30,000 copies.

"BMW, Mercedes Benz and Lexus already publish their own magazines, so to stay ahead, the brand wanted to connect with its customers, said Olivier Burlot, Adkom chief executive officer and publisher.

Burlot said the the title would have a cool design to reflect the car's brand values. Adkom is targeting watch and alcohol brands as potential advertisers.

In a separate development, Remy Martin has also contracted Adkom to produce a quarterly custom title, with a print run of 25,000 copies for Taiwan.

Remy's title will feature "elegant lifestyle articles on cigars and cognac, said Burlot.

Adkom has hired separate editorial teams to produce both titles, according to Burlot.
