Adspend surges in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - Monitored adspend in Hong Kong has surged almost 15 per cent compared with the same period last year, according to the latest figures from Admango.

The new results showed brands spent HK$1.9 billion (US$244 million) in August, with the banking sector again leading the way, investing HK$172 million. Educational and food brands were second and third respectively.

Individually, PCCW, McDonald’s and HSBC emerged as the three leading spenders, with PCCW in particular recording a 412 per cent boost in adspend compared with last year.
