Ace Saatchi ECD Jayme moves to BBDO Guerrero

Ace Saatchi & Saatchi Manila's long-serving creative talent Merlee Jayme has quit the agency after more than 12 years to join BBDO Guerrero.

Jayme, the former executive creative director at Ace Saatchi, will take over David Gurerro's ECD duties at BBDO at the end of September. Guerrero will be taking on the post of chief creative officer as well as continuing in his role as chairman. "This is the result of some months of talks and the appointment is really driven by the need for more help and the desire to continue focusing on the work," said Guerrero. "Marlee has demon- strated that she can deliver big ideas for clients. One of her initiatives led to the set up of a gallery of ads for P&G, which allows the agency to showcase the type of ads it wants to do for the client. There are limitless opportunities for her at BBDO and for her to take big local businesses further as well as work with regional clients." Jayme's departure follows the recent loss of Saatchis regional ECD, Craig Davis, to J. Walter Thompson in the UK. Davis was one of the most-awarded creatives in Asia and was among the top five in Media's Creative Rankings last year. Ace Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Reeynaldo Icasas declined comment.
