The first TV commercial, which airs this month, was launched to promote the Air Zoom Miler shoe, available in Thailand for both men and women for 4,700 baht (US$113). The 30-second TVC is part of Nike's global 'Summer of Speed' campaign, and has been localised by Ogilvy & Mather.
The spot shows a tennis instructor teaching a class of young girls, who are keen to impress him. As the session progresses, the girls, one-by-one, transform into Serena Williams - demonstrating power, speed and grace.
The second spot, scheduled to air at the end of this month, highlights Nike's Swift Spin Time Trial Suit, a suit specially designed for professional bicycle racers.
The TVC is in Chinese with Thai subtitles. Titled 'Piano', it features six-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong and Chinese pianist Yundi Li. The spot is set in Beijing at the start of a concert. It shows Li, who is rushing to the concert, transforming into Armstrong as he races through the city with tremendous speed and agility.
