The service can be used for online-based direct response campaigns. It allows the display of text ads within web page content, with advertisers only paying when users click on the link.
According to Wan, managing partner of Effisis, the company will target multinational and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Greater China.
Effisis will also sign up media sites as distribution partners to display the ads for its advertisers. In return, Effisis will share the advertising revenue with partner websites. "The web is used mainly for direct response, where success matters," said Wan. "Text links can drive on average just as much response as banner-type ads, when well placed. It's also very cost effective, at just HK$1 per click."
