Branded block packages are slots reserved for broadcasters on free-to-air channels with back-to-back Nickelodeon programming and packaging.
Global TV, a subsidiary of MNC Media, will air Nickelodeon properties like SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go!, Avatar, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Legend of Aaang. The renewal also appoints MNC Media’s subsidiary, MNC Licensing as the new consumer products licensing agency of Nickelodeon properties in Indonesia.
Nickelodeon has another branded block packages in Malaysia on TV9. For Nickelodeon, this gives it more visibility over and above its pay TV audience. On Global TV, Nickelodeon runs between 4:30 am and 8:30 am. Malaysia's TV9 plays it between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
Nickelodeon was the first international kids’ brand to enter Indonesia with a branded block offering. As part of its expansion, Nickelodeon is planning to re-introduced the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles both on-screen and off it with consumer products.
“Global TV and MNC Media have collectively been a long-time partner with Viacom for more than 11 years, since 2001,” said David Fernando Audy, Director, GlobalTV and MNC. “Now we are deepening that partnership.
