Bennett’s primary responsibilities will be in key strategic hiring for IPG agencies DeVries, FutureBrand, GolinHarris, Jack Morton, Octagon and Weber Shandwick. She will also serve a critical role in the launch of new recruitment systems and processes.

Based in Hong Kong, Bennett will report to Cameron Murray, vice-president of human resources and talent, Asia Pacific for CMG.

Murray told Campaign Asia-Pacific that this newly created role is part of a wider strategy to build on the Group’s ability to find and attract the best talent across the globe and locally within each market.

“Our new recruitment system, Taleo, will streamline our recruitment processes, enhance our ability to recruit through social media and most importantly allow us to easily maintain stronger relationships with a global database of potential candidates,” he said.

Murray pointed out that the key to retaining talent is to listen and understand their needs, to put these into action and openly communicate outcomes.

Originally from Australia, Bennett arrives with over 10 years of communications-focussed recruitment experience. Prior to the new role, she worked as managing director at Marcom Search, which she founded in 2010, and helped a number of European and American organisations set up their operations in Asia.

Previously, she held positions at brand communications and promotional marketing firms in both Sydney and London.
