Google signs deal with MySpace
Google has inked a US$900 million deal to be the exclusive search engine provider for News Corp's recently-acquired MySpace portal, as well as all other Fox Interactive Media properties. <BR><BR> Slated for a Q4 release, Google search engine capabilities and online ads will be integrated across all Fox Interactive Media properties, which also include gaming site IGN.com, sports network Scout.com and movie reviews site Rottentomatoes.com. <BR><BR> For Fox the partnership guarantees US$900 million in minimum revenue share to be paid out by 2010, while for Google the deal allows its search ads to reach MySpace's coveted database, which counted 52 million users in June.
