Gallate to depart Asia for New York role

ASIA-PACIFIC Euro RSCG Asia-Pacific, India and Middle East CEO George Gallate is to leave his position to head a new start-up that the agency is launching in New York, focusing on technology clients.

Gallate, a 22-year veteran of Euro RSCG, departs Asia-Pacific after three years in the position, and will be succeeded by current Euro RSCG global Peugeot brand director Olivier Pluquet, with the transition taking place over the next three months.

Speaking to Media, Gallate said that his work in Asia was largely complete after turning the agency's regional operations around since his arrival in 2005.

Gallate will retain his leadership role at digital arm Euro RSCG 4D, moving into the global chairman position.

The New York start-up, added Gallate, would be a "fully integrated agency, with digital at its core", focusing on the B2B and B2C requirements of technology clients, and leveraging Gallate's experience with such clients as Intel, Dell, IBM and Apple.
