Doswell takes on MD role at RedCard

SINGAPORE Ogilvy RedCard general manager Robert Doswell has been promoted to managing director and joins the Ogilvy Singapore board.

Doswell has been groomed for the MD role since he was named GM in January last year. "Although my day-to-day duties will be pretty much the same, it'll be nice to have more of a say in the running of Ogilvy as a member of the operations board," said Doswell.

He joined RedCard as project director when the agency launched six years ago and worked in partnership with David Mayo, now VP of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Asia-Pacific. Over the last year, Doswell has overseen 14 per cent growth at RedCard from clients such as Motorola, Jet Star and The Economist.

"The main aim is for us to produce the most innovative work in the region," he added. "As the saying goes, you don't win silver, you lose gold. It's up to us to inspire clients to push boundaries."
