A key investment will launch a new newsgathering and production hub in the United Arab Emirates. In addition, the channel’s Asia-Pacific newsgathering hub in Hong Kong is to increase staffing, while additional correspondents will be assigned in Beijing, Jakarta and Pakistan.
In Asia, new operations are slated for Afghanistan, India, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam. The creation of a new digital production unit will see additional staffing in Hong Kong and Atlanta to support the primary centre in London,
new platforms online and offline through out CNN International, CNNArabic.com, CNNMobile and the new TV-to-broadband sites.
