Chang, who previously headed up the agency’s IBM China business for the last six years, has been tasked with overseeing the agency’s integrated solutions offering, particularly focusing on digital, driving creativity, day-to-day operations and managing staff training initiatives for the group.
“Media is booming in China, particularly targeted and focused media, outdoor, mobile and digital,” said Chang, who added that she plans on leveraging her cross-discipline experience garnered from the IBM account.
“(Digital) is the key area we need to focus on, and we’re lucky at Ogilvy in that we have a really strong foundation,” she said.
Chang has previously worked across the technology, telecom and FMCG sectors in Taiwan and Beijing, and has been with the network for the last 12 years. She will report to Shenan Chuang, chairman, Ogilvy Group, North China.
Meanwhile, OgilvyOne Hong Kong has appointed Shayne Pooley executive creative director, marking a return to the network after he departed its Singapore operation six months ago.
Pooley replaces Tony Peck who has stepped down from the role.
Pooley, who had been with OgilvyOne Singapore for seven years, most recently as CD, departed the network last year for a six-month stint at Clemenger Harvie Edge Melbourne, before seeking to return to Asia-Pacific.
