Based in Beijing, Ye will oversee both iProspect and Amnet China and will be responsible for developing and managing a market-leading search and performance practice in order to support Aegis Media’s objectives in these areas, according to the agency.

Amnet, a real-time bidding agency that was launched last year, will continue to be managed by Lawrence Wan, reporting into Ye.

Ye brings with her 16 years advertising and marketing experience in both China and the US, with expertise covering programmatic buying/real-time bidding, performance and search marketing, new media research, analytics and insights.

“The China digital marketing landscape is undergoing a massive evolution towards a new form of data-driven advertising, in which performance marketing and programmatic buying are playing an increasingly important role” said KF Lee, chairwoman of Dentsu Aegis Network China. “Ye joining us is part of the group’s strategy to drive the synergy between performance marketing and programmatic buying.”

Most recently Ye was China President for Mediabrands Audience Platform, an IPG Mediabrands company that covers search, display, mobile, social, video, applications and e-commerce. According to a press statement, Ye tripled business and rolled out programmatic buying during her tenure there.

Prior to that, Ye headed up GroupM's performance marketing team. Prior to that she worked for Google in both California and China.
