The agency took home the coveted prize for its work for Asia-Pacific Breweries, with a haul of six gold awards, including the Best Promotion Marketing Campaign prize.
Mike Da Silva, director of Sydney-based PMAA and Asia-Pacific executive vice-president for the Association of Promotion Marketing Agencies, said the awards attracted 106 entries.
But he added: "I was disappointed at the lack of promised agency support from Hong Kong and Malaysia. This (Hong Kong) is a much more mature market and we would like to introduce case studies to the rest of the region.
"Last year, we generated far better response. We increased the number of entries markedly and so too the quality. He said this year's contingent from India won 11 awards. China, Japan and Korea won their first gold awards, with China winning three for its campaign promoting Motorola's 'Walkie Talkie' (by Ogilvy Action).
Ogilvy Action won best country campaigns in the Philippines and Taiwan, as well as China. Its Motorola 'Walkie Talkie' campaign took home three golds for most innovative communication strategy, best use of new media and best idea or concept.
Other winners included Tequila Singapore, which was awarded two golds for Virgin Drinks Asia-Pacific/Yeo Hiap Seng and Virgin Mobile Singapore.
