PepsiCo China names Nestlé marketing head as CMO of beverages

Haiying Jiang will lead marketing for PepsiCo’s drinks portfolio in China, including Pepsi, 7UP, Gatorade and Tropicana.

PepsiCo Greater China Beverages has appointed Haiying Jiang as its new chief marketing officer, according to Chinese media reports. Jiang, who previously led Nestlé Greater China’s coffee business, will now oversee marketing for PepsiCo’s beverages portfolio, including Pepsi, Mirinda, 7UP, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Aquafina, Tropicana, and Lipton.

Jiang began her career at Procter & Gamble and spent more than a decade to establish P&G China’s early ecommerce operations. She later worked in the health supplements and consulting sectors before joining Nestlé China in late 2022. There, she led the confectionery and ice cream divisions before taking charge of the coffee category. She left Nestlé in July 2025.

Her former role at Nestlé has since been filled by Pamela Takai, previously head of dairy, health and nutrition solutions at Nestlé Philippines. Takai reports to Kais Marzouki, Nestlé Greater China’s new CEO and chair, who relocated from the Philippines in July.

Jiang’s appointment follows a leadership reshuffle at the company in China. Earlier in April, Weiwei Yao returned as CEO of PepsiCo Greater China, to succeed Lily Yip, the long-time APAC CMO and general manager for beverages, who retired earlier this year. Yip was recognised in Campaign Asia-Pacific’s Power List from 2020 to 2024.

Nina Mu, formerly senior marketing director for beverages, now serves as CMO of PepsiCo Greater China Foods.
