Harry Chen, former group planning director at BBDO Shanghai, has joined Ogilvy as head of strategy for WPP Open X, Greater China and Mongolia, to oversee the Coca-Cola account.
Chen spent over six years at BBDO, moving up the ranks from strategic planner to planning director and eventually group planning director. In 2023, he was recognised as a rising star in Campaign Asia-Pacific’s 40 Under 40 list, after winning Greater China Young Achiever of the Year (2022) and Strategic/Brand Planner of the Year (2023) at Campaign’s Agency of the Year Awards.
He began his career at DDB, where he worked as an intern and junior planner before joining BBDO.

Himanshu Shekhar has joined the Emtek Group (PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk), Indonesia’s media, telecommunications and IT Solutions conglomerate, as its head of ecommerce.  Shekhar was most recently the South East Asia CEO of what is now WPP Media (previously GroupM), having worked with leading global and local brands including Unilever, Nestlé, P&G, IKEA, Gojek, L'Oréal, and Godrej until he left in January of this year. He started at Mindshare over two decades ago. 

Invnt, the global live brand storytelling agency, has appointed two seasoned industry leaders to its growing regional leadership team: Darren Vaughan as director of production, Australia, and Stephen Davey as executive producer. Vaughan brings over 30 years of experience in media and live event production, having held senior roles at Fourth Wall, Limelight Events and drv creative. Davey has played a pivotal role in producing both live and televised events for the National Rugby League (NRL).  

Pizza Hut Australia has appointed trans-Tasman creative shop Jnr to lead its brand strategy and creative duties following a competitive pitch. With ambitious goals to grow the business in Australia, Pizza Hut was looking for a partner to help re-ignite the brand and found the best fit in Jnr., drawn to the team’s bold creative thinking, QSR experience, innovative agency model, and relaxed, fun attitude. VML was the most recent incumbent and had been handling customer promotions, loyalty, and CRM efforts for Pizza Hut.

Virtue Asia has bolstered its regional client leadership team with the appointment of Jonathan Tan as account director and Tan Ja Lyn as senior account manager. Jonathan Tan joins from The Secret Little Agency, where he was business director and co-business lead for DBS and POSB. His career spans leading agencies, including 72andSunny, DDB and BBDO in Singapore. Ja Lyn Tan joins from Omnicom’s Team X Singapore, the global creative agency for Mercedes-Benz. Prior to that, she was at Digitas APAC.

Stickler, the operating system for Live Commerce, has announced the addition of industry pioneers Brian O’Kelley (CEO & Co-Founder of Scope3, previously Co-Founder of AppNexus) and Scott Neville (formerly of IPONWEB, BidSwitch, and Criteo) as investors and advisors. 

After an extensive search, Havas Media ANZ is appointing Kate O’Ryan-Roeder as chief executive officer beginning January 2026. O’Ryan-Roeder joins the agency after a decade at Mindshare ANZ, where she served as chief client officer and most recently, managing director for Sydney. During her tenure, she led a team of nearly 150, oversaw a bespoke agency for LVMH, and helped secure new business, including the recent win of MG. She also brings international experience to the role, having spent eight years at Mindshare Worldwide in London. As CEO of Havas Media ANZ O’Ryan-Roeder will be responsible for leading the agency’s national operations in ANZ, focusing on growth and investment in the region for media, enhancing AI, tech and data capabilities, while fostering integrations across the broader Havas Village, including creative, media, PR and publicity, public affairs and health. She will report to James Wright, Group CEO Havas ANZ, global CEO Havas Red and global chair, Havas PR Network. 

O’Ryan-Roeder will succeed Virginia Hyland, the former CEO of Havas Media ANZ, who stepped down in July after serving almost five years in the position. Media reports indicated that Hyland filed a Breach of General Protections claim against Havas Media in Federal Court, alleging violations of workplace rights.  Following her exit, Havas formally expanded the remit of James Wright as the group CEO of ANZ. The structure is similar to Publicis and Dentsu, which have a consolidated mandate. Wright also retains his global roles as CEO of Havas Red and global chair of the Havas PR Network, alongside his leadership of Havas Creative Network ANZ.

TBWA Indonesia has appointed Nicholas Kosasih as its new chief creative officer.
Kosasih was most recently senior creative director at Ogilvy Indonesia for over two years. Previously, he served as regional creative director at Hakuhodo Asia Pacific. Started his career with TBWA Jakarta, Kosasih later moved to Grey and Ogilvy before working at Hakuhodo in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand for over eight years. He now returns to lead all creative teams at TBWA\ Group Indonesia. He will succeed Rizky T. Wisnu, who has left the agency after serving as CCO for the past three years.

Ant Phillips, executive creative director of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has departed after working more than 20 years with the agency. Phillips joined Clemenger in 2004 as an art director and he was most recently being promoted to ECD in 2024. Over the years, he has led some of Clemenger’s key client relationships, including Asahi Beverages, Asahi Lifestyle Beverages, HCF, Ford, AFL and TAC.

Quantcast, a global advertising technology company, has announced four new senior appointments in its Asia Pacific and Australia and New Zealand sales teams. In the APAC region, Nelly Tsang and Chris Ng join Quantcast as senior sales managers for North Asia, based in Hong Kong. They will report to Quantcast managing director for North Asia,  Eric Swenson has been appointed as a senior sales manager for ANZ, while Amanda Cooper joins the business as a sales manager for ANZ. Both Swenson and Cooper are based in Sydney.     

Ivan She, Greater China general manager of Arc'teryx, has exited the brand, according to Chinese media coverage over the weekend. Jefferey Ma, who joined Amer Sports Greater China as president in July, will assume She’s role during the transition period, reporting to Stuart Haselden, the global CEO of Arc'teryx. This news follows the announcement by Chinese regulators of the initial investigative results regarding Arc'teryx's firework stunt in the Himalayas from September, after which the brand issued apology statements that had stifled further discussion in China.

Colin Chan, managing director, group marketing, has left Great Eastern Life after more than 30 years with the company. He began his career at Great Eastern in 1994, taking on various actuarial roles before being appointed chief marketing officer (CMO) in 2011. Chan was promoted to managing director (MD) in 2017. He announced his departure via a post on LinkedInSingapore’s oldest insurer just unveiled its rebranding in September, led by Design Bridge and Partners.

Bastion Shine, Australasia’s largest independent integrated agency, has appointed some senior leaders in Wellington. VML Wellington managing director, Fleur Head, will assume leadership of the Wellington team, starting from early 2025. She will be joined by five senior executives from VML: head of planning Anna Gunnell, creative director Damian Galvin, head of media Alicia Tutty, strategy director Matt Saunders and head of client services Kate Miller.
 
Innocean Australia has strengthened its creative team with the addition of senior creatives Bella Smith and Lucy Karsai, both bringing impressive experience from top global agencies and major clients like Google, Coca-Cola, and Mastercard. Alongside these creative appointments, the agency has also expanded its capabilities in strategy, media, and data science by hiring Georgia Millar as senior CX strategist, Robin Chan as media strategy director, Holly Mizen as group business director, Alexis Jamgotchian as head of transformation, and Wesley Hucker as marketing data science lead.
