Zuji tests LED to bring new travel deals to market

Zuji's latest outdoor campaign uses an LED ticker on bus shelters to bring the latest travel deals to consumers in Singapore.

Developed by M&C Saatchi, the ticker is mounted on a twin panel, coupled with a poster depicting a white sandy beach and blue skies. The content includes information such as destinations and flight schedules, and can be altered on a daily basis. The campaign has launched on one Clear Channel installation, with Zuji Singapore manager Sean Seah noting that it would roll out to more if successful.

"The speed to market of deals via an interactive LED allows the audience to learn about the latest travel deals as they wait for bus or taxi," said Seah. "They will in turn talk to their friends about it or book their travel plans online with Zuji." The LED also introduces a new variation of the Zuji logo, which highlights its URL. "The cost of changing deals with outdoor media is way too expensive with traditional forms," said M&C Saatchi digital business director Valliappan Lakshmanan.
