Zoom names PMG global media AOR

The independent agency will establish a cross-functional team to work with Zoom.

PMG has been selected as Zoom Communications’ global media agency of record.

According to a statement released by PMG, the independent agency will provide global support for Zoom as it continues to move beyond hosting virtual meetings and toward becoming an AI-first workplace platform.

Whitney Magnuson, head, brand strategy and activation, Zoom, said in the statement that the company had been looking for a media partner that “operates with the same platform mindset and helps us translate innovation into measurable business impact globally.”

“PMG’s analytical rigor, flexibility and people-first approach made them the clear choice,” she added.

The statement also mentioned that Alli, PMG’s proprietary operating system, will be “front and center” to the guidance and customized research with which the agency aims to provide Zoom.

“[Zoom’s] ambition to develop a truly unified workplace platform aligns with how we think about marketing at PMG; an interconnected system driven by intelligence, agility and outcomes,” said George Popstefanov, founder and CEO, PMG.

PMG confirmed to Campaign that Zoom ran the pitch process internally and that agencies Havas and Horizon also participated in the review.

The account win for PMG comes just after the agency announced the launch of the AI & Tech Sandbox experience at this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which will host an array of demonstrations, interviews and other activities.
